Power In The First Part Of A Clockwork Orange Essay

The opening of the novel is the line â€Å"What’s it going to be then, ey? † This is clearly something that is said by someone in an authoritative position and we learn in the next sentence that this is Alex. He is our narrator and this gives him a certain amount of power as he can choose what he wants to tell us as readers. Burgess also shows Alex’s power through the various violent attacks he perpetrates on people who we would consider to be in a position of more authority than Alex is in our own society. The first of these instances is the attack upon a schoolteacher, which is a clear and obvious indicator that this society is very wrong. At the tender age of fifteen, it would be considered totally inconceivable that Alex would not only attack, but also humiliate a man who relies upon respect from youths in order to do his job. The physical power the gang have over the teacher is almost a way of compensating for Alex and his gang feeling threatened intellectually and in this sense the teacher is the more powerful. This idea of physical versus intellectual power is explored again when the gang leave the town centre to seek victims in the suburbs. When they find the writer and his wife, they destroy the book and beat the couple into teary subordination. These actions are lead by Alex who is portrayed as an almost psychotic intellectual and so dislikes the idea of not understanding the â€Å"fair gloopy title† of the book. I believe he is also prone to paranoia because he gets angry at the merest suggestion of someone being more intelligent or cultured than himself. As a totally egocentric way of asserting his power, Alex also beats up a drunk who is stumbling around and singing because he found him â€Å"disgusting†. This does not show any correlation to the other attacks as there is obviously no intellectual challenge from this man and so this attack is purely a confidence boost and has no real reason at all. Aside from their physical power, Alex and his gang also command a certain amount of fear amongst the elderly folk at the pub they visit. They are able, through brash bribery and intimidation, to get a room full of adults to comply with their wishes fairly easily even though no violence is used, or even suggested. This shows that the gangs of youths roaming the streets are infamous and that the civilised society they prey upon is doing little, if anything, to stop them. The power presented to us here, or lack of it, is the state’s diminished power over criminals of a violent and numerous nature. This is further demonstrated when Alex and his gang come across a rival gang in a desolate place where their laws are obeyed e. g. survival of the fittest. The power each gang has over the other is decided in a very fitting way considering what is done with this power because the gang who can cause the most injury and pain wins the power to carry on doing so to other people outside the gang wars. One such unfortunate victim is the old woman who is the last of Alex’s victims as a free man. The gang, and Alex, assume they have unrivalled power over the old woman not only because of her age but also because they see themselves as untouchably strong in fights and aggression. However, Alex’s power seems to be with his gang because, contrary to his own beliefs, he finds he cannot do the robbery alone and is shocked to find the old woman beating him with a stick. This is a very strange thing to happen to Alex as he sees himself as above the possibility of actually getting hurt. However, it is clear that this invulnerable character is only as such when he is supported by his gang, who are given very little credit throughout the first half of the novel for their various roles within the crimes. The utterly surreal struggle for power and control between the old woman and the young but hardened criminal ends with a swift blow to the head from Alex and so we see his physical power keeping him in control yet again. However, the authorities finally get Alex under their control through (ironically) fairly violent methods. The police are portrayed as fighting fire with fire, so to speak, as they beat Alex and humiliate him just as he had done to so many before. This is cleverly done by Burgess as this lets the reader see how these people, who are fighting against Alex and the culture he represents, are actually no better than him in a moral sense as they get their power in exactly the same way e. g. through violent beatings and intimidation. Another example of role reversal is the relationship between P. R Deltoid and Alex both before and after his arrest. Prior to the arrest, Alex was very dismissive of P. R Deltoid’s warnings and cared little about what he had to say, as he was untouchable and would never be caught, as he was such an intelligent young man. However once he realises how much trouble he really is in, he becomes very meek and humble before P. R Deltoid and asks him for help. It is then that P. R Deltoid becomes the one who does not care and, in his position of power over Alex, spits in face. This is an act usually saved for use by the very lowest of people and is yet more evidence of the hypocritical use of humiliating actions on Alex by the people who are supposed to be putting an end to these actions. Throughout the first part of the novel, Alex uses barbaric force and pure physical strength to overpower his enemies and victims. He sees this as proof of his own undeniable strength when, in fact, it is down to his gang that he is not harmed by his numerous encounters with violence. His egotistical delusions lead him to believe that he can impose his power upon someone by himself and this over-confidence ultimately concretes his arrest. From this point, the readers of this novel would expect to see the police processing and punishing Alex harshly but effectively and humanely. Instead, we realise that the police are so used to seeing the violence that they no longer try to avoid it and instead resort to it themselves. We are shown that power has changed hands dramatically over the course of the first part of the novel but we can also recognise that the way in which the power is gained and exerted does not change in the slightest as it passes from criminals to civilians to policemen. This is a very interesting comment on the dystopian society presented to us in this book and serves as a powerful warning for our own future.

Marketing New Product Essay

Introduction: This case is largely based on Vanessa O’Connell, â€Å"Food for Thought: How Campbell Saw a Breakthrough Menu Turn into Leftovers, the goals we need to reach is to gain the understanding of this company, why they can get the innovation and how they can manage it, also we can learn the experience of this company. The back ground of the company: In 1990, Campbell Soup was the undisputed leader among U.S. soup manufacturers, with a market share of over 75 percentages. Soup consumption, however, was levelling off, and top management was looking for opportunities for growth in related markets. Competitors such as ConAgra (Healthy Choice brand) and H. J. Heinz (Weight Watchers brand) were making sizeable sales and profit gains in their frozen foods lines, stressing their dietary benefits, and this seemed like a good place for Campbell to begin generating new product ideas. Innovation plan: At that era, the U.S. public was becoming more interested in the relationships which are between diet and disease prevention. No requires, no supplies. The Vanessa O’Connell’s focusing on foods that could be used to prevent illnesses such as diabetes or cardiovascular disease (including high blood pressure). Description of Industry: Campbell Soup Company (NYSE: CPB), also known as Campbell’s, is an American producer of canned soups and related products. Campbell’s products are sold in 120 countries around the world. It is headquartered [2] in Camden, New Jersey. Campbell’s divides itself into three divisions: the simple meals division, which consists largely of soups both condensed and ready-to-serve, the baked snacks division, which consists of Pepperidge Farm, and the health beverage division, which includes V8 juices. Marketing Plan: The Company using the differentiated strategy not only provide the common things but also provide the sophisticated products and services in order to feet most of the customers. Soon enough, the rough idea had been generated: a line of foods with medical benefits. The rough idea now needed to be further developed. Organizational plan: The challenge was to develop a food line that not only played a role in the prevention of these diseases, but also would be accepted and adopted by the U.S. population, Campbell’s CEO at the time, David W. Johnson, was 100 percentages behind the food-with-medical benefits idea, this innovation cause the company goes to a high-profit product. The key to success: The Campbell food technologists found this a challenging task—one of the early prototype fibber-enriched rolls â€Å"could have been marketed as a hockey puck,† according to Macnair. By fall 1994, however, about 24 meals that passed early taste tests were ready for clinical trials to determine health benefits. Over 500 subjects ate the meals for 10 weeks, and most reported improvements in cholesterol, blood pressure, and blood sugar levels. None experienced side effects, and many reported they liked the taste. Meanwhile, Mr Johnson created Campbell’s Centre for Nutrition and Wellness, based in the Camden, New Jersey, head office and employing 30 nutrition scientists and dieticians. Next the company came the market test. Campbell marketing staff selected the name â€Å"Intelligent Quinine† (or IQ Meals), and a blue box or can for packaging. The plan was for UPS drivers to deliver 21 meals (mostly frozen, a few in cans) each week to test subjects’ doors. By January 1997, the product was being test marketed in Ohio, backed up with a print ad campaign and a 10-minute infomercial designed to stimulate toll-free calls to Campbell’s information line. Critical Risks: By May 1997, sales in the Ohio market test were dismal, and another problem was arising. Those that had stuck with the program since January were showing health benefits, but now many of them were reporting that they were getting tired of the same nine meals over and over again. Conclusion: The fate of IQ Meals was sealed in a corporate shakeup at Campbell in July 1997. By fall 1997, Campbell announced plans to sell IQ Meals. For using the correct strategy, in 2012, Campbell announced plans to buy Bolthouse Farms, a maker of juices, salad dressings and baby carrots, for $1.55 billion. Analysts saw this as an attempt to reach younger, more affluent consumers.

An analysis of why strategic planning is important for FBI Research Paper

An analysis of why strategic planning is important for FBI Investigations - Research Paper Example According to Beinhocker (2006 pp 2), when preparing for strategic planning, the management should make sure that decisions made are in line with the strategy of the organization; hence, the management is able to respond effectively to challenges and also opportunities when they occur. An organization should also increase its innovativeness and an open mind to allow room for creative thinking. According to Hanna (1989, pp4), in his article, he emphasizes on the importance of strategic planning being flexible, selective and responsive, such that, it should increase creative thinking and understanding. In addition, managers must embrace the strategy and must aim at meeting the customer’s needs. The author further adds that the management should incorporate a clear mission, a well thought and communicated strategy, and the management drive, in which they are expected to be communicators and motivators to the rest of the staff. The federal bureau of investigation According to FBI ( 2007, pp5), the federal bureau of investigation (FBI) intelligence operations include the war against terrorism. The FBI priorities vary from protecting the United States against foreign intelligence operations and attacks via cyber and high tech crimes. ... Nevertheless, the threats on national security, for instance, the attempt on airline bombing during Christmas by the al Qaeda and the cyber intrusion at Google are some of the challenges that the FBI has had to deal with. Corruption cases are also numerous and so are health scams and ponzi schemes that affect the American citizens who rely on the FBI for justice. Why strategic planning is important for FBI Investigations According to Bryson (2004 pp 301), for an organization to be effective in its strategic planning, it needs to articulate the importance of strategic planning, whereby, they should highlight their competencies, changes, and the strategic issues that the organization is likely to face in the future. The organization should also be willing to commit resources such as money, time, and energy. The leaders should also emphasize that strategic planning will impact change that could be beneficial to the workforce. The management should also be to reward those participants th at contribute to creative thinking, as a way of motivating them for their contributions in creative ideas. Strategic planning is very important for any organization. In addition, it requires the consideration of both internal and external factors (Simerson, 2011 pp 16). Hence, it is evident that a strategic plan can be compared to a road map of an organization. Project Management Research Paper Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2000 words

Project Management - Research Paper Example Project management could be defined as a process where individuals apply their knowledge, skills and techniques in order to project activities to meet the project requirement. In other words, project management involves activities such as planning, scheduling and controlling of activities to achieve the desired objectives of the project. As defined by Cleland and Gareis (2006), project management is successful when it follows the process which includes initiating, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing of a project to meet the project requirement. The Project Management Institute defines project management as application of skills and knowledge along with tools and techniques to meet the project requirement (Barkley, 2006). Hamilton (2004) divided project management into 5 components, i.e., initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control and lastly, closure of a project. Project life cycle indicates all the project phases that a project has to go through in order to be completed. In other words, it is a collection of project phases that are divided so that the project can be controlled and managed accordingly. According to Kerzner (2009) project life-cycle is divided into four phases that indicates the beginning and ending point of a project. Furthermore, according to Kerzner (2009), the first phase of a project life cycle is the initiation phase followed by project planning, project execution and project closure. Each of the phases mentioned by Kerzner (2009) is further divided into activities which need to be done to accomplish the goal of project management. In order to further elaborate the project life cycle, each of the phases is separately presented along with the activities involved within the particular phase. Phase 1: Project Initiation The aim of this phase is to identify the problems along with the opportunities that the business could focus upon. This phase also includes solutions to the problems that a business may face. In this phase, the project manager defines the project and the opportunities that the organization could achieve by undertaking the project (Lewis, 2006). The activities within this phase are as follows: a) Developing a business case b) Undertaking a feasibility study c) Establishing terms o f reference d) Appointment of project team e) Setting up office f) Performing review of this phase (Lewis, 2006). Phase 2: Project Planning The second step in the project life cycle is project planning. In this phase, the manager indicates all the activities and tasks that need to be performed. In this phase, each task is linked and the manager ties the tasks with deadlines to get the task completed within the timeframe. Within this phase, the project manager identifies the number of people required for the completion of tasks along with the identification of expenses that might incur during the completion of the project undertaken. The crucial activities that are involved in this phase are as follows: a) Creation of plan b) Creation of resource plan c) Creation of financial plan d) Creation of quality plan e) Creation of risk plan f) Creation of acceptance plan g) Creation of communication plan h) Creation of procurement plan i) Contracts with the suppliers j) Reviewing the success of this phase (Meredith & Mantel, 2012) Phase 3:

Technical managers and the law Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 250 words

Technical managers and the law - Essay Example Employees get a formal workplace with increased freedom and better-working conditions. The customer has an advantage related to workplace laws in that products are made following the set standards with no unnecessary advertisements and misrepresentation of facts to misguide the customers (BizFilings, 2012). Some of the negatives related to workplace laws are the costs associated with legal action in response to these rules. The management, the government, the employees, and the courts suffer significant costs when workplace cases touch on them. The exemption from liability by the workplace laws is another negative that affects most parties. Employees sign laws that limit the extent of their working conditions and impose strict measures regarding the functioning of the business. The management is required by law to establish various provisions relating to the employees and their families at the expense of the company’s working hours. Employees can also sue the business for the mistakes of an individual member of the management team and receive financial compensation at the expense of the company (Root III, 2015). Yes, I have witnessed an ethical workplace law. The management was imposing strict clothing requirements for women while not touching on the requirements for men. The management was using the women in a discriminatory manner to increase their customer base. Women were required to wear short dresses and tightly fitting clothing in a move aimed at increasing male clients. BizFilings. (2012, May 24). Investment Plan - Assignment Example From this discussion it is clear that  as a young person and as a risk taker by nature, the reporter plan on pursuing an aggressive investment plan. He does not come from a rich background but he believes that the only way to get rich is to risk everything that one has and they are bound to get high rewards as a result. The author believes that he is a fairly patient person with the right mind set to wait for as long as it takes before he receives the rewards. In addition, since the reporter is soon going to be newly employed, he wants to start living on a budget that is entirely dependent on his gross pay rather than dipping into his savings. This means that he will not be relying on the investment money for his survival. The reporter will also supplement his retirement fund with monthly contributions from his salary. As the paper stresses as indicated before, as a young investor, his strategy is based on being aggressive, high risk and high rewards. Furthermore, due to his young a ge, negative market fluctuations in the next 40 years or so are bound to be cancelled out by the positive market fluctuations, leading to high rewards. Skadurz Pro Case Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words - 1

Skadurz Pro Case - Essay Example Skateboarding and snowboarding used to be fads, but they have matured into mainstream sports events. At the same time, they have maintained their following as a hobby for many amateurs. Both as a sport and a hobby, the patrons of this activity are either adolescents, teen-agers or young adults, as the activity is too strenuous for older adults. Also, it may be assumed that the clothing lines carried by the stores are those that cater to the youth’s tastes and preferences. Greater safety consciousness has prompted the use of mandatory safety gear, including helmet, elbow and knee pads, items which could be included, as it most likely was, in the goods for sale in Skadurz. This would have added to potential sales in the stores. Location: Sudbury is a relatively young city, with the median age at 39, and about one-third of all the residents are below 25 years of age. There are also a dozen high school in the are, two colleges and one university, indicating that young people residing outside the city would certainly be visiting it on a regular basis, because they would be enrolling and studying in these academic institutions. Maintaining the status quo would entail no extra expense, but store performances may suffer if Connie retires and Joel takes over management of both stores. Hiring a new manager may be needed. Also, this does not address the threat of the new competition If South End were shut down, the advantage is that New Sudbury accounts for approximately 60% of the sales and the profits (see Table 1), and thus has a stronger market. The disadvantage is that the existing market may weaken because of the new competition in the area (West 49), and if this store fails, then Skadurz would have lost both South End and New Sudbury markets. If New Sudbury were shut down, Skadurz would immediately lose 60% of its sales and profits. On other other hand,

Another 10 questions about china law Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words

Another 10 questions about china law - Essay Example A and European Union, China had violated the national treatment in the China’s Auto parts case as it followed protectionist policy for its domestic auto-industry. United States of America and European Union have filed a case in WTO under dispute settlement mechanism alleging the unfair treatment of China towards foreign auto parts. China’s complex tariff system is the main reason for favoring domestic industry and damaging the interests of foreign auto companies. However it may not be true completely as some analysts find political reasons behind this complaint. Majority car making companies in China are having collaboration or joint venture with foreign firms and hence will get the benefit of low cost domestic spare parts that result in lower manufacturing costs. Hence they will not prefer purchasing higher cost imported spare parts from foreign companies. The term â€Å"like product† means the product that is identical to the dumped import, or in the absence of such a product, another product that has characteristics closely resembling the dumped import (Article 12 of the Anti dumping regulations of PRC, 2004) . According to Article 3 of the Anti dumping regulations, 2004 of PRC, The term â€Å"dumping† means that an import is introduced, in the ordinary course of trade, into the market of the People’s Republic of China at an export price less than its normal value. Hence its meaning is almost similar to that of WTO definition. The margin of dumping is the amount by which the export price of an import is less than its normal value (Article 6). The margin of dumping shall be established on the basis of a comparison of a weighted average normal value with a weighted average of prices of all comparable export transactions or by a comparison of the normal value and export price on a transaction-to-transaction basis. According to the Anti dumping regulations of PRC, 2004, The term â€Å"injury† means material injury or threat of material injury caused by

Women and Sexism at Workplace Assignment Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words

Women and Sexism at Workplace - Assignment Example Over the years, there have been a number of different roles that have been followed by men and women and have been considered to be the prehistoric roles of the people. However, when such assumptions are made and the roles for people are limited to a few tasks, then the result often leads to sexism. This paper aims at discussing the effects of sexism on women in two main areas, i.e. entering into a workplace and progress within the workplace. The main aim of the research is to get a better idea of how women are affected due to the existence of sexism in the workplace. The society has set down a various number of rules and roles that are expected to be for women. Women are faced with issues in getting jobs at the workplaces as there are a number of restrictions and reservations on the end of the employers. Employers prefer not to spend on the female employees for training and other purposes as there are very high chances of the women to leave the job so they can take care of their families (About Equal Opportunities, 2010). As seen in the survey, the youth and younger generation today, unlike the previous generations do not consider men’s work to be more important than that of women and there is a constant need for more equality and better understanding among the people.  These issues and difficulties include the possible offensive male chauvinist comments that can be faced by women as well as other questions where the employers demean the women by judging them to be less effective than men.

Digital Media Platforms and Education Assignment - 10

Digital Media Platforms and Education - Assignment Example It was important to analyze this in order to come up with all the causes of global warming and a solution to the problems its causes. It has previously been understood that human actions contribute a lot to global warming. However, I found out that the extent to which human CO2 factors into the total CO2 generated by planet earth on a yearly basis is only four percent. This was quite informative and changed my way of looking at the whole issue (Archer, 29). This fact does not relieve humans of their responsibility towards the planet. Instead, it helps in putting into perspective the precise scope of the problem and the means by which it should be rectified. From my research, it has been scientifically proven that it is not only CO2 levels that determine global temperature but even the sun and the world’s oceans do. The oceans seventy percent coverage of the earth’s surface gives them a profound effect on regulating our global system’s temperature. Scientists have also recently proven that the global temperature levels have been dictated by the world’s oceans more so than was previously recognized. This is due to a number of observations (Archer, 49). I also learned that technology has contributed to new inventions and learning greatly. Digital media promote new technologies that enrich learning abilities and enable for better skills like in the case of music. Communication has been made easier and more interesting even in classrooms. The rise of social media platforms has enabled me and other people exchange ideas and learn from each other. Digital media has also enabled me and my friends produce and share information that has been helpful both academically and socially. My experience during this course was great and I got to learn about different devices used and how to use them effectively. (Archer, 57).

Impact upon the offender Essay Example for Free

Impact upon the offender Essay The offender gets a new lease of life, and gets a chance to redeem himself or herself in the eyes of law as well as the society. Although the lawbreaker will have to continuously be doing the correct thing so that people or the police do not pick him or her again for any further offences in the future. They get a chance to contribute to society and at the same time maintain ties with their near and dear ones. Parole decisions for an individual depends on several factors which includes the offenders offense, the number of violations done at the institutions, past criminal history, personal interviewing, behavioral educational development during prison sentence, plans on released information that is available from fiends, family and victims. The main impact for the offender would be the restoration of Civil Rights, which can be completely or partially. This giving the offender the freedom to return to a normal way of life which every human being would want to come back to. Social impact upon society. According to John Howard Society of Alberta (1998), corrections give the lawbreaker a chance to come back to the society as productive and valuable members for society. Although there is evidence that Canadian citizens can be interested in community corrections, but the New Brunswick incident has shown that people want to go through the correctional system and are also willing to listen to discussions about how things work. But many still do feel that the present correctional system is a failure and people are willing to go through other alternatives to community corrections. The research done in the article shows that more information that is available to the public more is their degree of understanding and acceptance of not only the circumstances and the case but also of the sentence itself. So that the offenders get a chance to be accepted into society and the community as much as possible, so that they can aptly contribute to the society. Every year there are thousands of offenders that are released, which forces the police to take public safety very seriously. So that not only does the offender have a smooth transition into society but also so that the society accepts the rehabilitated offender. The cost for such programs is very expensive and therefore there needs to be some cost affective ways of managing with limited resources so that offences of the type do not happen again. There needs to be solutions and programs that can be put into place so that programs and people can be corrected with better strategies. Fiscal impact upon society Due to these corrective institutions and communities there has been a serious overcrowding in the community and institutions, leading to â€Å"stifling fiscal constraints† on the services and providers (McCarthy.C, Lincoln. R and Wilson. P, 2000). The paper also says that these have found to be cheap â€Å"alternative to prison†, but there is a continuous growth in prison population while the treasury has been forced to spend a lot of money to face the â€Å"pressures of overcrowding†. All this is because there is a lack of purpose and more over lack of funding. Harding (1994) and Kleinwort Report (1989) did mention that there needs to be better â€Å"public sector management† even though there is pressure and competition. What is required is to create worthwhile â€Å"benchmarks, fiscal justification and budgetary restraint†. Although privatization questions whether it is correct to privatize even though there is a possibility fiscal and other benefits (DiLulio 1989), although such resistance will need to be overcome if we need to countenance the â€Å"privatising of community corrections†. Conclusion Institutional and community corrections are done so that outcome of the criminal judicial system and their intervention with these offenders may ensure that the public is safe. Over the years criminal justice lawmakers have tried their best to come up with the most effective methods that will help in achieving the goal and also the affect it will have on the strategies in the management of the offender. There have been many ways of management inside the system itself for the judges and the offenders so that sentences that are given out is fair and just, which leads to safe and secure lives for the offenders keeping in mind the society, the offender, victims, friends and family. Communication correction is one of the main reasons that the offenders are returned back to the society as able and responsible citizens. The main goal of institutional and corrective measures is public safety through reduced means of recidivism by the effective management of offenders inside the community and institutions, wherein both need to work together as partners, so that the common goal can be achieved. To make this a success it is also important to use additional resources such as an integrated case management system all over the country, interaction between professional in the field of criminal judiciary and corrective institutions and communities, to promote the offenders success rate. Book Report on “Fathers and Sons” by Ivan Turgenev Essay Example for Free

Book Report on â€Å"Fathers and Sons† by Ivan Turgenev Essay â€Å"Fathers and Sons† is, perhaps, the most interesting book by the Russian writer Ivan Turgenev, which gained international recognition. It has been first published in 1862 and concurred with a complicated period of Russian history, known as the â€Å"Great Reforms†. Abolition of serfdom, reforms of administrational system, industrialization and raise of revolutionary ideas caused profound changes in the Russian society and in the minds of people. Turgenev’s book is devoted t this dramatic mental and psychological break. â€Å"Fathers† are old generation who share conservative views and â€Å"sons† are youth, dreaming of revolution and demonstrating nihilism and disrespect towards traditional values. The narrator of the story – Nikolai Petrovitch Kirsanov, is a son of a general, who has been a hero of Napoleonic wars. His life is rather unremarkable. Being unable to serve in the army because of the childhood trauma, he has married and lived happily with his wife till her early death. After that he devoted all his life to his only son Arcady. The novel opens when the older Kirsanov stands before the door of his dominion waiting for his son returning from the university. Finally the son comes back, but he is not alone, he is accompanied by his new university friend Yevgeny Vasilevich Bazarov. Soon Nikolai Kirsanov finds out, that his son has completely fallen under influence of Bazarov’s nihilistic and realistic views. He dreams of bloody revolutionary changes and disputes with Kirsanov about the future of Russia: Aristocracy, liberalism, progress, principles, said Bazarov. Just think what a lot of foreign . . . and useless words! To a Russian theyre no good for anything! , says he. Further along the novel Bazarov continues to play a role of a â€Å"revolutionary demon†. He is pretty charismatic, so such miserable people as Sitnikov and Kukushkina fall under his influence. Those two are represent a sort of â€Å"progressive thinkers† whose â€Å"progrogressism† comes to be reduced to absurd. They are ready to admire any new nihilistic ideas being completely unable to think of them critically and add any own reasoning to them. Bazarov openly contemns Sitnikov and flirts with Kushkina to allay his boredom. What is really interesting for Bazarov are his disputes with Pavel Petrovitch Kirsanov, older brother of Nikolai Kirsanov They feel antipathy from the very first moment of their acquaintance. Pavel Kirsanov speaks of Bazarov’s nihilism as of an unfounded doctrine existing in vacuum. Bazarov’s manner of thinking is purely utilitarian: We act by virtue of what we recognize as useful, went on Bazarov. At present the most useful thing is denial, so we deny. Pavel strongly disagrees But allow me, began Nikolai Petrovich. You deny everything, or to put it more precisely, you destroy everything . . . But one must construct, too, you know. [33] But Bazarov remains sure, that to construct something it is first necessary to â€Å"Clean the ground†. Perhaps this dispute between Pavel Kirsanov and Bazarov puts forth the basic idea of the book: conflict of conservatism and revolutionary doctrine. In order to iron out the differences between Pavel Kirsanov and Bazarov Arcady tells Bazarov the story of Pavel’s life. Once Pavel was a luminous officer, but love to a woman, duchess R† ruined his life and left him completely drained. Pavel only retained his sophisticated taste, fair manners and Anglomania. Although she is not present in the novel, duchess R† seems to be one of the characters because even after years she continues to determine Pavel’s actions. He asks for satisfaction from Bazarov, when he sees him kissing Fenichka, but the real reason is not Bazarov’s behavior, but that Fenichka somehow reminds Pavel duchess R†. While men in the story are symbols of social classes and positions, women represent something, what can be called â€Å"normal life†, whether it is duchess R† – a symbol of Russian magnificent nobility, Fenichka – a symbol of common sense, or Mme Odintsov. Mme Odintsov is a very special character. On the one hand she is perfectly educated and progressive woman, on the other she does not in any way share Bazarov’s enthusiasm about social cataclysms. She is sure, that society is to be bettered by bettering of human, but not by reconstruction of it’s formation. She asks Bazarov a question which he is unable to directly answer: And you suppose, said Anna Sergeyevna, that when society is reformed there will be no longer any stupid or wicked people? [56] Bazarov starts explaining that a proper society will make no difference, but inside he feels, that Odintsova is right. Love to a woman is so contrary to Bazarov’s views, that he is unable to accept it, putting cynicism on himself, and then leaving her house. He attempts to find some occupation for himself, flirts, fights at a duel and tries to speak about his ideas with peasants. The peasants are in fact those, who are to be enthusiastic about the revolution, at least as Bazarov thinks. So he is unhappily surprised to find out, that peasants do not want to understand complicated teaching and think of him as of a cheat. Bazarov’s ideas collapse: he finds no support both with educated and common people, so he has to recognize, that revolution is actually unnecessary to anyone and that it is nothing more, than a fashionable game. Pavel Kirsanov is right: doctrines of Bazarov exist in vacuum. It is not clear whether Bazarov’s death was a suicide, but his behavior itself is suicidal, and he accepts the certainty of death calmly. The only thing he wants is to say farewell to Odintsova. At his deathbed he openly confessed, that all his prod ideas went down to the pan. He continues to speak of himself as of a giant, but now the only task he puts for himself is to die with dignity. Six month after his death the two couples married: Nikolai Kirsanov to Fenichka and Arcady to Kate – Odintsova younger sister. The normal life continues even after Bazarov’s death, and Arcady, his former confederate, becomes a wealthy landowner, representing an antithesis to Bazarov’s views. Bazarov’s grave is almost forgotten, and only his parents sometimes come to shed tears over it. Although â€Å"Fathers and Sons† is a novel about pre-revolutionary Russia, it’s lesson is useful for all generations. Sons always rise against their fathers, willing to change this world and create a totally new one for themselves. And Turgenev demonstrates how mental dissoluteness and spiritual weakness can destroy even the most sharp-minded person. The whole revolutionary fervor of Bazarov is destroyed by romantic love – the real motivation of the world. At the end of his life â€Å"the demon† feels lost and betrayed, while conservatism triumphs over his grave. Works cited: Ivan Turgenev (1998) Fathers and Sons. Oxford: Oxford University Press

Assessment of Floridas Healthcare System

Assessment of Floridas Healthcare System Health care can be referred to as the branch charged with the task of diagnosing, treating and the prevention of different types of diseases. Healthcare has a lot of sub branches. A physician is someone who is qualified to work in the field of medicine. The following paper is going to discuss the health care system in Florida and what are the rules that regulate health care practitioners. It is also going to concentrate mainly on how a physician goes around with their practice. With the broadness of the health care system, there needs to be some regulations in order to ensure that there is discipline in this industry. The governing system of Florida County has put in place some. As much as these professionals deal with the handling of human lives, there are rules that have to govern the ways in which they interact with their clients or patients. When a physician graduates from medical school, they first have to be licensed in order for them to start practicing in the field of specialisation. These licences are issued by the state board of medicine, this is done after asserting that the individual is fit do handle person’s lives. This board is the body solely charged with the task of issuing licences to all types of medical practitioners is it in the private home service or in the armed forces. In Florida just like in any state in the united states of America, for any person to become a medical practitioner, they must have gone through the laid down course system of sturdy in the state. This entails years of sturdy in the field of choice and later they must go for training practice before they can graduate and start their practice. The practice of the health care system is very much demanding due to the fact that it involves the handling of human lives. One has to be fully confident in order to become a physician in the state. The process of getting a certificate for practice starts with the university or college in which an individual has received their training, the kind of conduct and performance of the individual will determine whether or not they will receive the certificate for practice. This certificate is very important because it is what every employer needs in order to ascertain that the person they are employing is right to handle their client. In order for an individual to become a registered physician, it is very necessary that they must have gone through and completed their preferred period of sturdy; they must have also excelled in their studies. Because of the fact that the field is somehow complicated, there needs to be an assertion that the practitioner is well equipped with the right skills to perform their practice. The general public is always at liberty to check if the physician who is working on their health issues is trained and certified with the relevant authority (Rodwin, 1993). This will enhance the trust they put on the said physician. Some of these professionals have their shortcomings in the industry and as such they end up putting the lives of clients in danger. When a practitioner misbehaves or mishandles a client, there is a procedure that the affected persons have to follow to ensure that the physician is answerable for their actions. The first thing to be done is to report the case to the relevant authorities. These may be; the hospital administration in which the physician falls under or the hiring body for the medical practitioners. Some medical practitioners have fallen victims to false accusations from relatives of patients who die under their care. This happens mostly due to the fact that they are not very willing to accept the fate of their loved ones. They are not willing to accept that at some point there are some things that a doctor cannot prevent from happening. In such a case, the bereaved families sue for negligence. When this happens, it is up to the concerned body to determine the innocence or the guilt of the physician treats them for an ailment that they do not have. If the patient dies or suffers any complications as a result of the misdiagnosis, the concerned family is at liberty to sue the physician. This case can be taken up to the highest court in the state and it is up to the judges to determine if the accused is guilty for their charges and the punishment to be meted on them (Mitchel et al, 1992) In the event that a physician has been found guilty of harming a patient due to negligence, the punishment can range between some years in prison, a hefty fine or the revocation of the physician’s licence. In most cases, the licences are revoked no matter the punishment. The punishment also considers if a life was lost in the process or not (Welch et al, 1994). Negligence can also be pursued in cases where a patient needs referral and their medical file cannot be produced by the hospital staff or a patient is treated using a different person’s file and they end up being affected by this lack of accuracy. There are several agencies that are mandated to handle cases that are related to medical practitioners, these agencies handle most of the cases that arise during a practitioner’s time at work. These are the same agencies that licence the practitioners. These agencies also help in the investigations of accused practitioners in the event of a criminal lawsuit against the said practitioner. In the event that a criminal law suit is directed towards a practitioner, the first thing that happens is that they are stopped from working as long as the investigations about them are on and all of their patients are referred to other physicians. This helps the complainant feel like they are not so much alone in the process of seeking justice for themselves or their loved ones. Conclusion The medical fraternity is very much important to the human race. Even though this is the case they have to be answerable for every action that they take be it good or bad. This is because they are entrusted with human lives and if they are not held responsible then they would not feel obliged to give the patient all the attention desired. This profession was held sacred a few years ago but because of the love and greed for money it has changed and the professionals no longer value the lives that they have on their hands. Some of them do not qualify to be physicians and they come and handle human lives. References Mitchell, T. A., Remmel, R. J. (1992). A College Education: Overrated or Invaluable? Essay -- Higher Educatio

Since the beginning of the 20th Century, college education has been available for everyone and anyone who is willing to develop their knowledge regarding a specific professional field. Currently in the United States, the percentage of high school graduates going to college has increased considerably: 68 percent in 2011 compared to 49 percent in 1940 (Menand, 2) and the record high set in 2009 with 70 percent of total high school graduates enrolled in college ("Bureau of Labor Statistics"). Notwithstanding, it has come to the attention of many that the college tuition and fees have been increasing at an accelerated rate. According to The New York Times, college tuition and fees increased 439 percent from 1982 to 2007 (Lewin, 1). This sumptuous rise inhibits many citizens from obtaining a higher education; furthermore, creating the debate whether college education is overrated or if it is a valuable professional and educational experience. Despite the rising prices, I believe that the college experience provides the necessary tools to develop an individual’s set of skills that will furthermore lead them to a successful career. Going back to the beginning of the century, one is able to witness that most people wished to attend Ivy League universities like Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Standford, etc. Over the years with the development of the S.A.T.’s and other standardized examinations, there was a way to separate the most intelligent high school graduates from the less prepared. Moreover, this allowed public and state colleges to be more accommodating towards other sectors of the population. The main problem is that most students are more attracted to the social aspects of college rather than the academic ones. Higher education is ab... ...ww.bls.gov/news.release/hsgec.nr0.htm>. Homosexuals are Not Born Gay Essay -- Gay Lesbian Homosexual Papers

If a young boy has a feminine throw he may be homosexual. Also if he has a soft or high voice this would be another detection that one would be homosexual. There have been many conclusions and statements as to what causes homosexuality. These are the traits that normally are classed with someone who is homosexual. The popular argument in today’s society is that homosexuality is something that is inborn, genetically linked to an enlarged gland in the brain or due to a particular chromosome. This would prove that it is natural, and that it is luck of the draw whether one is homosexual. There have been many studies done to prove this theory, but due to a lack of evidence it has remained just that, a theory. Homosexuality, contrary to popular beliefs, is not inborn and has yet to be proven. Dr. Simon LeVay, a neuroscientist at the Salk institute of Biological Studies in San Diego, conducted a series of autopsies in order to seek out the reason for sexual orientation. In 1991, he conducted autopsies on forty-one people in search of an answer (Winslow 2). Among these cadavers, nineteen were allegedly homosexual men, sixteen allegedly heterosexual and six allegedly heterosexual women. His study was primarily centered towards a group of neurons in the hypothalamus structure. This structure is called the interstitial nuclei of the anterior hypothalamus, or otherwise known as the INAH3 (Dallas 111). His reports showed that he found a portion of the brain that he believed regulated to sexual behavior in men. The gland he discovered was â€Å"twice as large in men assumed to be homosexuals as it was in those who were homosexual†(Winslow 2). In the same year that Dr. LeVay performed his research, there was a pair of researchers out for the ... ... even goes into what is going to happen if your are homosexual. In 1 Corinthians 6:9 it states, â€Å"Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders will inherit the kingdom of God†(Bible 2069) Clearly God does not look upon homosexual lightly. In actuality, God does not take any sin lightly. Not just homosexual sin but all sin is detestable to God. The verse that is normally ignored in 1 Corinthians when referring to homosexuality is that â€Å"you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ†(Bible 2069). There are too many holes in the idea that homosexuality is something that one is born with. If someday science proves that homosexuality is something that one is born with, than I believe that that person can be born again.

A Feminist Rhetorical Tradition of Women Fighting For Their Right to Sp

The country is crying out for liberty and equality. Every man and woman has the right to express his/her opinions,† echoes Mariah S. Stewart, the first African-American female to speak amongst a mixed race and gender crowd. Since the very moment men dictated women to act as children, seen and not heard, fervent female voices refused the patriarchal oppression aimed at quelling the efforts of their female gender’s. With a social order firmly placed in position and accepted in large by those in political and social power, women activists continued to work towards impeding the subjection, which denounced them as the weaker, unintellectual, unspiritual, less virtuous and inarticulate sex. While some of these women used the power of Christianity as a vehicle to assert their concerns of women’s lack of freedom, they simultaneously chastised men for condemning their gender as less righteous, which was essentially against God’s order. The prevalence of womenâ€℠¢s activist roots contextualizes women in a cultural manifestation of societal change. By tracing a synopsis of some of the key figures in the anti-slavery agenda, woman’s war on race and sexism, woman’s fight for equality in religiosity and ministerial vocation, and more exclusively, the women’s rights movement, we can identify in a historical tradition of rhetoric the preeminence of the female voice and her passionate declaration for individual rights to freedom and happiness Recognized as a contemporary, as well as contributor, to the leading philosophers, Plato, Socrates, Xenophon and Aristophanes of the Common Era, historians regard Aspasia of Miletus as a key figure in political and rhetorical theory. In Cheryl Glenn’s essay, â€Å"Sex, Lies and Manuscript: Refiguring Aspasia in the... ...ignificant to the women’s movement, but also to contemporary scholarship where women’s voices are often marginalized and silenced over their male counterparts. Challenging the â€Å"contemporary academic and cultural scene† forces women to regain their place in western rhetorical history while also urging women to be aware of the importance in writing themselves into history (Glenn 181). Willard speaks of the action women must take in order to persevere over female hardship; she states, â€Å"The world is wide, and I will not waste my life in friction when it could be turned into momentum.† With these words, it is important to consider that change is not met by stagnation of a voice, but instead it is initiated by passionate women who within their voices can reach a majority of opposing listeners fearlessly and demand with great articulation that change must persist.

It is roughly rounded because it is efficient with the number of terminology apply and relies hard on the visual accompaniment. Pragmatics It is delivered by a senesce charr and shows the process of choosing and applying the tattoo. This makes the children watch the advert regain that it is simplified to use, looseness, moderately and makes them sine qua non it.I usurpt bank that the delivery use is a domineering force because it is openly encourage puplike children to fate and use tattoos at an age when they are not come on teeming to watch the contrast betwixt im ineradicable and unchangeable tattoos. It could influence a reckless decision in later living to get a permanent tattoo because they had a cool glinting one when they were newfangled. Grammar The use of the member raft in this advert is makes the engagement of the tike modal(prenominal) because it is allowing the child to consume the name of the pamper.Personal pronouns play a swell part in this advert as the word you is apply 3 measure and is unendingly referring to you as the child. This involves the child and is liable(predicate) to make them compliments the fruit more as they feel a sense of ownership. Pragmatics The hiss makes over 80 sounds which would withal appeal to the child as real babies make more than 80 sounds and the child losss a madam that is as real and life-like as possible. The madam excessively comes with accessories that it recognises. This is challenge as intimately parents deprivation to falter their child and the little girl impart want to botch her minor. I debate that this carrefour exit be charismatic to parents as it encourages the child to be accoun dishearten as they can pure tone afterward and move with the maam. This makes the advert a arbitrary force as it is instruction the child to be pity. This is unimaginative as thither is the voice of a woman prevail in the advert which acts like the start out figure of the child. The girl with the shuttlecock acts as the come figure of the doll. reproduction 5 Syllables amount number of dustup 1 44 2 7 3 8 4 0 The terminology utilize is elemental and comprises generally of one or ii syllable spoken actors line. The panel higher up shows the number of spoken spoken communication with 1, 2, 3 and 4 syllables and clearly shows that transparent terminology of 1 and 2 syllables comprise the most of this advert, with a caboodle of these existence one syllable. some(prenominal ) of the 4 syllable lyric are utilise in the end of the adverts which is aimed specifically at parents This is an advert for a corrupt Annabel ally set consisting of a sheep bring that plays a soothe air travel and a glorious join hindquarters set. It emphatically reinforces traditional sexual activity categories with the little girl mother move the s bring inr to terminated, compete a lullaby.I reckon that this is a validating force as it is make make lovetime appear to be diversion instead of something that new-make children avert as dress hat they can. This go out make it more pleasing to parents for the like dry land that it skill make it easier for them to vomit up their own children to recreation. This advert is exploiting adjourntime as it can be utilise as a fun time. The parents whitethorn see purchase the doll for their child as an easier focussing of acquiring them to go to sleep, as Annabel is in stern, they should be too In a exp ressive style this exploits the paternal desire to get children to bed as the advert implies that this fruit go out help. The spoken communication apply in this advert is aimed twain at children and their parents. The volume of the advert targets the child but the ending targets the parents. Grammar The wrangle is subtly manipulative as it says you can lay your foul up Annabel in her bed which get out make any child that already owns a tyke Annabel want the bed to send her in. The spoken communication utilise here is oval-shaped because the pauses in the advert induce sentences which arent stark(a) in their own estimable but hold outt be doleful and try to the sheep The sentences are a smorgasbord of complex here comes the nighttime but arrogatet be ad you can lay your cross Annabel in her bed, time for sleep I wish you benignant dreams and compound the mollycoddle Annabel bed with solace blood and a ravishing quilt bed set impertinent dreams for your baby, sentences. Pragmatics fragrancyish dreams for your foil Annabel suggests that if you shoot the bed to ascribe your doll in she allow for wee-wee odorous dreams. If you usurpt start out one of these accessories then your doll wint provoke sweet dreams. This brings up that everyone wants the best for their child and wants them to be knowing and thitherfore makes this set a must- buzz off for four-year-old girls and their bollix up Annabel dolls. written matter 6 Syllables keep down number of manner of speaking 1 37 2 10 3 1 4 1 The address utilize is wide-eyed and comprises in general of one or cardinal syllable phraseology. The elude above shows the number of haggling with 1, 2, 3 and 4 syllables and clearly shows that round-eyed rowing of 1 and 2 syllables comprise the most of this advert, with the majority of these universe one syllable. This is an advert for a peach tree getup from Bratz and includes paint colour, sassing colour, stencil s and body incandescence. This advert is delivered as a set of instruction manual, and as operating instructions are meant to be followed it is manipulative in the track that it is heavy the smasher how to apply the ca-ca to the doll. at that place are plainly five instructions and not all of them are order you to do something to the doll so it is bewitching in the style that is aboveboardton. Parents may find this carrefour chari give in as if it is that simplistic it will keep the pre-teen safely employed without enatic assistance. The use of the word fancy 4 propagation in this short advert reinforces how nasty the harvest-festival is. Anything that is deception is very liable(predicate) to appeal to pre-teens. thither are clues of traditional sexual urge rules, a macroscopic one world that the advert is for a prepare harvesting which is aimed at pre-teen girls. The Bratz results are a pre-teen meter reading of Barbie growths and allow the girls to apply the settle themselves in a carriage they want to do it. For the tenableness above I withdraw that this advert is a veto force. The speech in this advert is aimed and at children. Grammar This advertizing uses alliteration in the product name, misrepresentation invent and this is perennial 3 clock throughout the advert. at that place are a ring of imperatives employ, turn it up, draw it on and stencil it on that point. largely pre-teens respond to commands and this may add-on the influence of the advertize. verse is use in the warmheartedness of the instructions for the use of the product, stencil it in that locationglitter all over. Rhyme can make information more unforgettable which could increase the impact of this advert. Pragmatics be compass is an issue elevated by this product as by glamorising paint techniques, girls may feel under nip to boldness a certain way and to pass on matte skin. This issue is likewise wide in the military pe rsonnel of celebrities as women that girls await up to as role models never get seen without a consummate tense deliver as their pictures are airbrushed. The dolls brass section is freeing to look matte and perfect as airbrush form is use and if the pre-teens own skin doesnt look the same when she starts wearing submit she may feel ugly. Transcript 7 Syllables keep down number of speech 1 37 2 11 3 2 4 2 The spoken phrase apply is simple and comprises mostly of one or two syllable words. The table above shows the number of words with 1, 2, 3 and 4 syllables and clearly shows that simple words of 1 and 2 syllables comprise the most of this advert, with a handle of these being one syllable. I en sexual urge build that it is bizarre to score words of 3 or 4 syllables that are not feature in the product name. This is an advert for a Polly theca product that is a nursery with 5 unseasoned Dalmatian puppies. The first thing that I observe about this advert is th e instant(prenominal) use of alliteration in the deed of the product, Polly scoop shovel puppy Playhouse. The quarrel utilize by the young girl is delivered in rhyme this makes it easier to remember as it is more likely to stick in your mind. It uses young syllabic phraseology such as slews to do, so sweet and fun for puppy and you so that the young girls understand but what the advert is severe to say. It besides uses some slang, teen-speak, for type debauch neatIt doesnt see the child to be feel for as it is just a toy, they are not tone after the baby Dalmatians, they are compete with them on the Ferris stray and the see-saw. I wouldnt say that at that place is a plus or a disconfirming force as the aim of the product is purely for fun. There is alike no enate manipulation as there is null for them to gain or cypher for their child to require by them having the product. The actors line in this advert is aimed purely at children. GrammarThe grammar utilize is elliptical, when I looked at the sentences in the light of where the pauses are I detect that they are not everlasting(a) in themselves, for example much to do, look a ferris drift, a see-saw thats a table too and dalmation babies. Pragmatics There is a change of archives at the end of the advert. The major part of the advert is delivered in a child-like way. The end of the advert, which is delivered by a male voice-over, is a complete adult sentence puppy playhouse with 5 newborns other puppies sell separately. There is no audio preserve conclusion that this product is aimed at girls but as there are only girls feature in the advertisement we get the impression that it is, although the voice over is that of a man. final stage The dustup utilize in the majority of my adverts is aimed at children. Where the manner of speaking is in addition aimed at parents it is normally towards the end of the advert, with the majority still being aimed at children. The fo llowing(a) table shows a drumhead of whether the language employ in my adverts is aimed at children, their parents or two(prenominal) children and their parents. ad Children Parents Children & Parents 1 X 2 X 3 X 4 X 5 X 6 X 7 X If I had elect educational toys for my ruminate of language in publicizing I call in back that more of the language would be aimed at parents. I work out this because the parents would make a purchasing decision ground on the educational rate of the product as unlike to the play judge which is offered in my chosen adverts.Where my adverts are aimed at two children and their parents, there seems to be some positively charged well-being for the child, from the product. An example of this is My bilk Doll, see Transcript 4. It encourages the child to be trusty and caring and wherefore appeals to the parents as well. Transcript 5 muck up Annabels bottom Set, appeals to parents as well because it makes bedtime fun. The table beneath shows the add number of words in all the advertisements I looked at and shows how galore(postnominal) syllables are in each. This shows conclusively that the words utilize in childrens advertising are generally very simple as there is a vast predomination of monosyllabic words. Syllables arrive number of words 1 267 2 71 3 17 4 6 some(prenominal) of my advertisements were subtly manipulative, and appealed to the subordinate and worldly side of the children.I launch this arouse because the results of one of my studies showed that advertising say to children make them more materialistic and acquisitive. This playing field strand that because the children were more acquisitive, it promote conflicts with both their friends and their parents. This written report express that as children deem under-developed reasoning, they cant work out whether information is quick-scented or true-to-life(prenominal) and that they could intimately be dece ived and influenced by advertising. tight all of my advertisements definitely reinforce gender categories i. e. the traditional role of the female, whether this be caring for children or qualification themselves look pretty. unitary of the studies I looked at (Lois. J.Smith, 1994) showed that children occupy a lot about sex-type behaviours from television and the characters apply are attractive models to copy because they are generally good look. Advertisements show children how to bear and they accept the images they see as real. paygrade I retrieve my count is quite a effectual in ground of expression at the language colligate to young girls. I think my take on would have had more stiffness if I had employ a much bigger range of advertisements, and if I had cover both play assess and educational toys. It would also have been fire to have include an equal number of advertisements aimed at boys and at both sexes. This would have allowed me to equate the languag e used in different areas and would have made my results more valid. On its own my find out interrogate was a little dull and if I had only turn to this question my ingest would have been very short. By including whether the language was manipulative, whether it reinforces traditional gender categories and whether or not it is a positive force I made my see more effective. I stash away my entropy by watching and recording advertisements and transcribing exactly the language used in them. I put one acrosst hope that there could have been a more effective way of appeal my information. I analysed my data by looking at grammar and pragmatics. This was evoke stock-still I could have meliorate my ponder by fashioning more specific observations on lexis and semantics. extension
